Shaun Ali MSW, RSW

Shaun Ali, MSW, RSW, is a base social worker with 32 Canadian Forces Health Services Centre in Toronto, Ontario. He has over 19 years of experience working with military personnel at bases across Canada through the Department of National Defence. He has co-authored articles in the American Journal of Psychiatry, the Journal of Military, Veteran, and Family Health, and the Journal of Community Organising. He was part of the multidisciplinary professional team to receive a research grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to study the therapeutic efficacy and safety of psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy, the first one of only three to be granted in Canada. He also works in private practice, supporting individuals, couples, and organizations including major corporate clients, and receives an honorarium as an advisor to PESI, Inc. He has a strong interest in military mental health.
