Charlotte Henson, PhD
Postdoctoral Associate
Dr. Charlotte Henson is a Postdoctoral Associate at the McDonald Franklin OSI Research Centre. Her research focuses on PTSD and post-traumatic growth among first responders, particularly firefighters. Originally from France, she previously worked for four years as an emergency responder within her fire department, an experience that continues to inform her research on the psychological impacts of repeated trauma exposure in emergency personnel. She is particularly interested in identifying factors that may help reduce PTSD symptoms while facilitating positive psychological changes following trauma. Her work aims to improve understanding of mental health, recovery, and wellbeing among high-risk occupational groups.
