Dr. Richardson is a psychiatrist and Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, where he holds the Tanna Schulich Chair in Neuroscience & Mental Health. He is the former Medical Director of the St. Joseph’s Operational Stress Injury (OSI) Clinic and currently serves as a Consultant Psychiatrist and Director of the MacDonald Franklin OSI Research Centre at Parkwood Institute. He is also Medical Advisor to the Atlas Institute for Veterans and Families, Co-Chair of the Military and Veteran Psychiatry Section of the Canadian Psychiatric Association, and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research.
With nearly 30 years of clinical, academic, and research experience, Dr. Richardson’s work focuses on PTSD, operational stress injuries, treatment outcomes, burnout, and moral injury among military, Veteran, and other high-risk populations. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
